Mail Settings / Servers:
Microsoft
Outlook Guide click here
mail.your-domain-name.com
<-- where "your-domain-name.com" is substituted for your particular
domain name.
Incoming and outgoing.
(NOTE: Must have SMTP authorization enabled in your mail program. OR
check your email often before sending to let the mail server know that
you are authorized to also send mail..
For default "catch-all"
email account use your "masterusername" and your password will be the
same one you use for FTP and for the control panel.
For added email account
that have been set up in the control panel make sure you use
theentireaddress@your-domain-name.com for the account login
account name in your mail program. Soem email programs may require the
use of a "+" sign instead of the @ symbol for login name.
Webmail can be accessed
using
http://<your-domain-name>/webmail/
EXAMPLE of account mail
settings:
Let's say your domain
name in this case is "thisismydomain.com". Your master control panel
username would be something like this "thisismy"
If you have not changed
mail setting in your control panel (new account) all mail sent to your
domain will go into that default email box. Setting in your email
program to check that email would look like this.
incoming mail server:
mail.thisismydomain.com
outgoing mail server: mail.thisismydomain.com <--note some isp's
require to use theirs.
account name/ login name: thisismy
password: the main password you use for control panel and FTP
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Now let's say you have
added some email boxes for "sales" , "john.doe" ..and so on........
(note these are set up first in the control panels)
Your email program
setting are like this:
Let's say for account
"sales"
incoming mail server:
mail.thisismydomain.com
outgoing mail server: mail.thisismydomain.com <--note some isp's
require to use theirs.
account name /login name: sales+thisismydomain.com <--- note the "+"
sign ..may need to be a "@" or a "%" sign. Netscape mail likes "%"
sign instead.
password: password you set when you created the account in the control
panel.
